Youngsters at Oldbrook First School are making the most of celebrations for their school’s 20th birthday this month.
All 165 pupils enjoyed a special birthday party, complete with a magician and plenty of traditional games, on Friday, May 8.
Headteacher Kirk Hopkins led a celebratory assembly in which pupils and teachers were joined by former members of staff, including the school’s first head, Sue Collett.
Many memories and stories were shared as they spoke about their time at the school, which has educated 1,550 pupils since opening in 1995.
Parents were also invited to attend and the children performed a medley of songs and an energetic Zumba dance to mark the occasion.
Mr Hopkins said: “This was a great opportunity for the children and members of the community to celebrate the school’s achievements over the past 20 years.
“Lots of fun was had by all and we look forward to the school continuing to be an integral part of the Oldbrook community.”
