Today, thousands of students across the country opened their A level results - but none did it quite like Zoe Atkinson.
The Stantonbury Campus student is one of the first students in the UK to open her envelope whilst battling 110mph winds at indoor skydiving centre, Airkix.
The daring student supported her studies by working on the busy reception desk at Airkix Milton Keynes and wanted to find a way to mark this special moment in her life.
Zoe, who achieved B,C,C grades for her A levels, she said “The nerves really hit me when I collected my envelope from college, but they soon evaporated when I entered the wind tunnel to reveal my results – the whole experience was exhilarating.
“This was a fantastic way to complete a chapter in my life, one which I’ll certainly never forget. Now that I’ve finished my A-levels, I plan to take a working gap year to explore the possibility of full time employment or going to university.”
Andy Godwin, General Manager at Airkix Milton Keynes said: “We all remember where we were when we opened our exam results, which is why we’ve given Zoe the chance to make this even more memorable by finding out her grades whilst indoor skydiving in the Airkix wind tunnel.
“We’re pleased that we were able to be a part of it and will be fully supporting Zoe in her next chapter. We know that she’ll go far whatever it is that she chooses to do.”
Airkix is an exhilarating indoor sky diving experience which gives anyone from the ages of 4 to 104 the chance to get the adrenaline pumping by freefalling within a safe environment. If you are interested in having a go and battling the elements visit www.airkix.com
