Science Week given a boost
A school's British Science Week enjoyed a real boost with a £500 donation from Amazon towards new physics equipment.
Walton High was nominated for support by the team at Amazon’s site in Marston Gate, and Amazon team members attended the school for a Mission to Mars-themed class.
General manager Claudio Innocente said: “Science, technology, engineering and maths are some of the core skills used at Amazon every day and we’re really passionate about encouraging young people to consider a future career in these disciplines. British Science Week is a great initiative and we wanted to help make it extra special for the students at Walton High.”
