A Milton Keynes scout troop has become the first in the UK to achieve a Bronze Arts Award.
Nineteen members of the 1st Olney Scout Troop have done a variety of arts, including theatre and watercolour painting, to earn the award.
The scouts went to city theatre production of Steptoe and Son, where they met the original screen writers and were given a backstage tour.
The two main actors of the production visited them afterwards on a troop evening and spoke about the production and the characters they portray on stage.
After learning about the theatre, the troop worked with a watercolour artist who taught them how to make their own masterpiece that features in the town church. The scouts passed on their skills to younger scouts in a workshop in the church.
Everything they did was recorded in various ways – videoed, photographed, written down, recorded, put on social media or into a troop floor book. Each scout had their own individual portfolio that they were proud to share with the Arts Award assessor who gave them glowing feedback.
