Second fatal crash confirmed near Milton Keynes over Bank Holiday weekend

Police are appealing for witnesses to a second fatal road traffic collision over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The accident happened in nearby Buckingham early on Sunday morning.

A 32-year-old man, and an 18-year-old man were able to get out of the car. They were taken to hospital where they remain with serious injuries.

A 39-year-old woman, sadly died at the scene.

Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Investigating officer, PC Steve Leathersich, of the Joint Operations Road Policing Unit at Milton Keynes, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this collision, or who has any information to please come forward.

“This happened in a residential area and I know that members of the public assisted with rescue attempts following the collision. We have officers available if you wish to speak to us about welfare support, so please do get in touch.

The previous evening, Saturday, the driver of an orange Nissan Micra died after his car left the road and collided with a line of trees alongside the H8, Standing Way.

Investigating officer, PC Ian Baldock is appealing for any witnesses to this incident, which happened at 9.50pm.
