Sewage flood problem outside popular Milton Keynes supermarket

A smelly sewage problem caused shoppers to turn their noses up at Morrisons in CMK on Bank Holiday Monday.

A part of the supermarket’s car park was flooded with what appeared to be open sewage, complete with toilet paper.

The area was closed off but some visitors reported the smell was so bad that could not bear to do their shopping.

It is understood the problem was due to outside drains and swears. It was dealt with the same day by Anglian Water crews.

The supermarket, which is next to Milton Keynes Central Rail Station, was open for business as usual throughout.

One worker told the Citizen: “There was a problem with the sewage outside and Anglian Water dealt with it. It didn’t really affect us and it’s all okay now.”
