CALENDARS are the ultimate stocking filler.

But why settle for cheap and tacky when you can shop local and get real originals..or win one in our competition...

MILTON KEYNES CALENDAR 2013 is a monthly planner with plenty of space for those important dates and plenty more wonderful photos of MK and the surrounding areas.

There are famous views, hidden treasures and arty selections on the visual front, that might just challenge the way you see our new city.

Those behind the calendar are the same team behind the wonderful mini concrete cow range, which also make fetching stocking fillers, of course.

GET IT: The calendar, cows and various other moo-vellous gift opportunities are available at Waterstones in Midsummer Place or visit

We have copies of the calendar up for grabs.

To be in with a chance of winning one, we want to know how many of the registered Mini Concrete Cows have their home in Australia.

See the Family page on the website for a hand with the answer!

Then send your answer, together with your name and address, to: It’s a date, Citizen News Desk, Napier House, Auckland Park, Bond Avenue, Bletchley, MK1 1BU.

Closing date for entries is Thursday, December 27th.

FELINE fans will adore the calendar produced by Susi Whittaker, artist in residence at Stani Gallery in Stony Stratford.

Her date checker tells the wonderful story of puddy-tats Colin and Clarissa who meet, fall in love and have a baby kitty-cat before the year is out.

If you like the calendar, you could go further and buy the book too.

GET IT: Stani Gallery in the High Street, Stony Stratford, obviously...

THE CHAMELEONS drama group put on performances of Calendar Girls last month, to raise much needed funds for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.

The shows were a terrific success and all sold-out, but you can still get a piece of the action – buy purchasing a copy of their calendar!

The ladies and gents from the group adopted their best nudey poses to further swell the charity coffers.
