Midsummer Place Shopping Centre will be host to 26 of Milton Keynes’ finest business heads next Saturday to promote the Milton Keynes Marathon.
Next weekend sees MK’s first Green Marathon on Sunday and Midsummer Place is one of several destinations putting on activities under the MK Supports umbrella, including Bletchley Park, Park Trust, SNO!Zone, thecentre:mk and Theatre District.
From 10am on Saturday, 26 people will each run, jog or walk one mile starting with Dr Ann Limb OBE followed by ‘contenders’ including Councillor Peter Geary, City Centre Manager, Kay Greenhalgh and several mascots.
Fit4less by énergie gym in the Theatre District has donated a treadmill for the day, which is expected to conclude around 5pm.
Martin Hindson, Centre Manager said: “This is a wonderful event where we bring together some of the City’s most recognisable and influential business people and take them out of their comfort zone for a wonderful cause. Some will take the challenge more seriously than others but overall it will be a great day for all.”
