Shot fired at house in Milton Keynes last night

Gunmen tried to force their way into house while residents were inside yesterday evening.

The attack has been described as “frightening” by Supt Jim O’Ryan, LPA Commander for Milton Keynes, who confirmed no one was injured at the scene in St Helena Avenue, Newton Leys,

Mr O’Ryan said: “Fortunately nobody was hurt but this was a serious offence in which a firearm was discharged. Officers are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and I would appeal to anyone with any information, or who saw anything which could help us in this investigation, to contact me via the 101 number immediately.

“We currently have a scene watch in place and officers are in the area conducting house to house enquiries. If anyone has any concerns or questions, please speak to the officers.”

Anyone with information should contact the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
