Should we be IN or OUT of the European Union? You decide...

With less than 100 days to go until voters decide whether to stay or leave the EU, council chiefs tell potential voters not to delay in signing up.

British, Irish and Commonwealth citizens over the age of 18 who are resident in the UK or Gibraltar will be able to vote on June 23.

British citizens who have lived abroad for less than 15 years will also have their say – but they need to register as overseas electors by June 8 at the latest.

They also need to apply for a postal or proxy vote.

How to Register: If you are already on the electoral register you can vote. If you have recently moved or your details have changed then please find full details on how to register at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote .

These applications must be received by the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) by Tuesday, 8

Voting by post: Anyone who is individually registered can apply for a postal vote using the form at www.gov.uk/voting-in-the-uk/postal-voting

Complete, print and sign the form and send it back to the ERO at Milton Keynes Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes, MK9 3HG or scan and email to [email protected].

Postal vote application forms must be received by the ERO on or before 5.00pm on Wednesday, 8 June 2016.

A postal vote can be sent to your home address or any other address that you provide.

Postal votes can be sent overseas, but you need to consider whether there will be enough time to receive and return your ballot paper in time for the 23 June Referendum.
