MORE than 150 children took part in a flashmob performance of ‘I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing’ last week to promote a world record attempt.

In 2012, schools from all round the country will be attempting to break the record for the number of people singing and signing a song at the same time.

The sign2sing event has been organised by Deaf charity SignHealth. Children in the city warmed up by singing the New Seekers classic in thecentre:mk on October 9.

SignHealth’s Leslie Gorton said: “We arranged the flashmob to raise awareness of the event and encourage more people to register.”
