Sisters are on TV after snapping a selfie with Diego Costa

Two football-mad sisters found themselves unwitting stars on Match of the Day after snatching a selfie with Chelsea striker Diego Costa.

Lauren Hirst, 14, and sister Chloe, 15, struck lucky when Costa passed right in front of them in the Chelsea dugout after Sunday’s victory against MK Dons.

“We asked Diego for a photo and he was only to happy to oblige,” said the girls’ dad Jay, who lives in Bletchley.

Lord Grey student Chloe tweeted the snap, only to be bombarded by school friends saying they had seen the photo on Match of the Day highlights on BBC.

Both girls play football themselves. Lauren plays for City Belles and Chloe for MK City.

Jay said: “Our family are all Chelsea fans and it was also Lauren’s birthday weekend, so was a really nice thing for Diego to do.”
