Six more Covid deaths recorded in Milton Keynes over the weekend

The Covid-linked fatality rate in MK sadly remains high, with more than 50 deaths recorded in the past week alone.

The weekend saw six more deaths registered of people throughout the borough who died within 28 days of having a positive Covid test. This brings the city's death toll to 410 since the start of the pandemic.

Over Saturday and Sunday, 139 new Covid cases were confirmed in MK, bringing the total to 18.083 since the crisis began.

The local case rate has continued to fall and is now down to 240.5 cases per 100,000 of the population.

Nationally, 15,845 new cases were confirmed yesterday (Sunday) and number of Covid-linked deaths fell to 373.
