Sixth day with no new cases in MK and eighth day with no coronavirus-linked deaths at Milton Keynes hospital

Once again, MK has seen no new positive test results for Covid-19 over the past 24 hours.

And it is now eight days since there has been a coronavirus-linked death at Milton Keynes hospital.

The city's hospital death toll stands at 102, but this does not include up to 80 more deaths in care homes and in the community during the pandemic.

The number of lab-tested cases in the community stands at 510, but the number of untested cases is still unknown.

Nationally the daily death figures showed a marked decrease today, with 176 deaths registered in the past 24 hours.

This brings the total UK deaths to 39,904

The daily number of lab-confirmed cases in the UK slightly down at 1,805, making a total of 281,661.
