ARCTIC conditions have made driving for motorists a nightmare as temperatures plunged in the city over the last week.
Several inches of snow and temperatures as low as -13 have left the grid system clogged and many elderly and infirm residents unable to leave their homes.
Council gritters have been battling desperately to keep the roads clear, while problems have been posed for the police and ambulance services.
The Citizen has also been receiving reports of taxi firms charging fares double normal levels.
But some have enjoyed the snow, such as sledgers in Campbell Park.
Our photo gallery – with many pictures sent in by our readers – shows how the city has coped in the snow.
