Spooky half term happenings at Milton Keynes Museum

Or, if they spend their time at Milton Keynes Museum, they could see their hair stand on end!

The museum will once again be hosting its famous science shows, and the Professor has lots of hair-raising fun in store – just in time for Halloween.

Speaking of the ghouls and all things creepy (and fun), the museum will also be hosting a pumpkin trail for children to enjoy over the half term week.

There will be pumpkins to find throughout the galleries – one decorated with musical notes in the music room, another with soap bubbles over in the laundry, and many more hiding in corners waiting to be found!

And crafty children will be able to make paper Jack O'Lanterns too.

The museum will be open daily to ensure the school holiday is full of fun and exploration - all of the usual museum attractions will be open with lots of hands-on opportunities, from tracing the history of communication to playing good old-fashioned parlour games.

There won't be a smart phone in sight!

And, if there are any perfect pupils who will miss the structure of school during their brief interlude, you can send them to the Victorian schoolroom!

When hunger strikes, simply pop to The Granary Cafe for a bite to eat, with affordable hot and cold sweet and savoury home-made pastries, cakes and sandwiches, and if pocket-money is burning a hole, the museum shop has lots of affordable toys and treats.

A trip to the museum is a great day out for the whole family, and all ages, and it's great value too - pay once, and return entry is free for the whole year.

Standard admission prices apply – which will also give you FREE entry for the following 12 months when Gift Aid is given; adults £9, child £6, retired & unwaged £7.

A family ticket (admitting two adults and up to four children) is £26.
