Volunteers with no first aid experience can expect to attain a reasonable level of proficiency after six to nine months.
Following training the volunteers will all be given the chance to attend events in the local community and provide life saving first aid to members of the public.

Tom Davison, District Volunteer HR Officer in Bedfordshire, said: “We have a number of units in Bedfordshire that wish to recruit new volunteer adult first aiders. “It’s an incredible feeling knowing that you can save a life and yet only one in 10 people know how to deliver first aid.
“I’m hoping to hear from enthusiastic adults around the county who are willing to give up a few hours a month to learn how to be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.”
