Homeless charity St Mungo’s is looking for hairdressers and beauticians to help boost their clients’ sense of wellbeing and self-esteem.
The charity’s Volunteer’s Week runs from June 1-7 and they are hoping hairdressers and beauticians will share their time by treating clients to a haircut, manicure, facial or pedicure.
St Mungo’s in Milton Keynes supports 54 young homeless people by giving them access to health services and offering opportunities, such as activities, education, skills and training in the community.
Iver Morgan, St Mungo’s Volunteer Services Manager, said: “With over 400 volunteers donating their time, knowledge and skills, they are an integral part of the work we do across the UK.
“Their input has an incredibly positive impact on our client’s recovery and they are a hugely valued part of the organisation.”
