Still time to share your Fenny travellers’ site views

PEOPLE are being urged to make their views known on the Gypsy and Travellers’ site at Fenny Lock.

Originally, the cost of the project was £1.8 million, of which £600,000 has already been spent.

But with the consultation period ending on December 9 people are being encouraged to share their views on what the remaining money should be spent on.

The funds can only be used for ‘capital spending’ on housing which broadly means money spent on acquiring or upgrading assets.

In July, the council decided to suspend further development of the site pending the outcome of a review which will be considering if the project is good value for money or if other housing projects would give greater value for money.
