We mentioned a couple of the many events playing out under the familiar Stony Live! banner last week, but the curtain doesn’t fall on the annual spectacular until Sunday, and there is still plenty to engage with.
Tomorrow and Saturday, Shakespeare in Stony will deliver some of the Bard’s greatest works with promenade perfomances of sonnets and excerpts delivered at various points around town (4-6pm Fri, 6-8pm Sat)
If British summertime isn’t so great and it piddles down, the show will go on, with indoor space provided.
Saturday also sees the 10th annual Riverside Fair in Mill Field, between 1 and 4pm. Free rides, attractions, circus skills, a Silver Band and plenty more will figure.
So long as you are out, you need to check in with the StonyLive Alternative Fringe Fest, happening across three venues – in the courtyard of The Bull Hotel, at the Vaults Bar and the Stables Bar.
The showcase of live music, spoken word and fine art will build on last year’s successful foray. It runs 2pm-11pm on Saturday, and 6-10.30pm on Sunday
