Student at Milton Keynes school tests positive for Covid-19

A school in Milton Keynes has confirmed one of its pupils has tested positive for Covid-19.

Slated Row School headteacher, Zoe Baines, confirmed a Year 11 pupil at one the school's Kents Hill Campus has tested positive for the virus.

She said: “We can confirm that a single Year 11 pupil has tested positive for Covid-19. We are following all government guidance and are working closely with Public Health England and Milton Keynes Council to safeguard our school community. Parents and carers will continue to receive regular updates.”

According to another local media outlet, a 'small' number of children who have been 'in direct prolonged contact' with the infected person have been advised to self-isolate for 14 days.
