A team of students from Milton Keynes College have won second place in a contest set by Subway to design and market a new sandwich to be sold in stores across the region.
Ian Cahigu, Luke Mitchell, Kalin Storch and Ernest Ware went up against five other teams in the Anglia region in a head-to-head Dragons Den-style pitch at Cambridge University before being awarded second place for their sandwich, The Caribbean Way.
The finalists also bagged themselves a share of £500 Amazon vouchers.
Almost 100 teams in the region entered the Design a Sub comntest, with six finalists chosen to present to a judging panel from Subway before the winner was crowned.
Chairman of the judges Liam Dalgarno said: “The team from Milton Keynes College clearly put a lot of thought and hard work into their entry and they should be very proud of how far they got in the competition.”
