Students '˜vote' in referendum

They may have been too young to vote in last week's EU referendum but students across the new city have been doing their research and forming their own opinions.

The Hazeley Academy held its own referendum on June 23.

Every student and member of staff received a ballot paper and attended the school’s polling station to register their in-house vote.

The Remain campaign won a majority of 501 votes to 213, equating to 68 per cent.
