PEOPLE are being invited to take part in a cross country event hosted by Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue.
Their 35th annual Cross Country Race, incorporating the UK Fire Services Cross Country Championships, takes place on Sunday, November 11.
The event will be held over an 8km/5 mile course in the historic National Trust-owned Stowe Park, near Buckingham. A 4km/2.5 mile run is also available.Entries are invited from individuals and guest clubs as well as fire and rescue services.
Organiser Eddie Gutteridge, Life Vice-President of the Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service Sports Association, said: “It is a privilege to organise an event at Stowe, and once again we express our sincere thanks to the National Trust, Stowe School and Chris Whitehead, the tenant farmer.
“We look forward to welcoming seasoned veterans and first-timers to what is without doubt one of the most picturesque venues available for an event of this type.”

The entry fee is £11 per person (plus supporters’ hot meals £3). Cheques should be made payable to E.H. Gutteridge. Each entry received will result in a £1 donation to The Fire Fighters Charity.
