The team behind the Monkey’s and Monsters Halloween event at Tea Monkey, raised £600 from their Halloween spook-tacular.
The money was raised on October 31 for Macmillan Cancer Support, organised by Volkswagen Financial Services, and will cover the cost of 24 hours of Macmillan nursing.
Throughout the day there was plenty of ghoulish fun put on by a zombie army of volunteers, including monster face painting, devilishly fun competitions, Halloween treats and more. Plus Tea Monkey donated 20 per cent of all beverages and cakes.
Tracey Bovingdon, MD and Founder of Tea Monkey said, “It was an honour to be part of such a well organised and supported event. As an independent business, Tea Monkey does as much as it can to support local charities and groups and is delighted to have assisted VWFS to achieve such a worthwhile goal for an incredible charity like Macmillan.”
Graham Wheeler, joint Managing Director from VWFS said “Volkswagen Financial Services is tremendously proud of all 11 volunteers who were involved with such a worthwhile charity and key local businesses. Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the dedicated charities we work with as a business and we’re delighted our staff can play a part in the fantastic work they do through events like this.”
