Teachers get involved in World Book Day celebrations

The English department at St Paul’s Catholic School in Leadenhall is delivering lessons in costume all day.

Teachers are dressed up as characters including Captain Hook, the crocodile, Gandalf, the Mad Hatter, Willy Wonka, Cruella De Ville and many others.

Thousands of school pupils are dressed as characters from their favourite books to join in with the World Book Day celebrations.

The annual event is marked in more than 100 countries across the world, celebrating reading, books, authors, illustrators.
