Teen’s arm broken in serious assault

A 14-year-old boy had his arm broken in a serious assault in Newport Pagnell on Wednesday.

At around 6pm, the teenager was making his way home on his scooter after playing football near The Dove pub. He was riding down Wordsworth Avenue but when he approached the junction with Byron Drive he was pushed off his scooter by another boy.

The attacker then punched the victim in the face and then ran off down Wordsworth Avenue.

The victim suffered a broken right arm from the fall and also grazes to his arms, knee and face.

The offender is described as a white boy, aged around 16. He was tall, with a lanky build and short brown hair.

The victim was taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital where he was treated for his injuries and was later discharged.

PC Tom Neilson, investigating officer, said: “This was a substantial assault on this boy which left him with a serious injury. If anyone was in the area at the time and saw this incident we would urge them to come forward.

“Anyone with any information on the incident is asked to contact PC Neilson on the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number 101.
