Teenager manages to fight off mugger in Milton Keynes

A 15-year-old boy fought off a mugger who attempted to snatch his phone.

At about 9.55pm on Monday, April 22, the victim was listening to music on his mobile phone wearing headphones while waiting at a bus stop in Saxon Street.

A man approached him and asked the victim for the time. As the victim viewed the time on his phone, the offender grabbed the victim’s phone.

The offender attempted to run away but the victim grabbed the man’s jumper and wrapped an arm around the offender’s neck.

The victim and offender fell to the floor where they grappled and the victim retrieved his phone from the floor. The offender grabbed the victim by the jacket and pulled it over his face before the offender ran away along the Redway.

The offender is black, aged in his late twenties, approximately 5ft 8ins tall, and had a short afro with shaved sides. He was wearing dark coloured jeans, a brown sweatshirt and white Addidas trainers.
