Teenager sentenced to nine years for stabbing

A teenager has been sentenced to nine years' imprisonment for inflicting 12 stab wounds on a man which left the victim with injuries to his body, back, arms and legs.

The 17-year-old boy of no fixed abode - who cannot be named for legal reasons - pleaded guilty at Aylesbury Crown Court. The two day hearing ended on Friday.

The offence happened at a house party in Ashby, Eaglestone on October 25, 2015, when the defendant was involved in an altercation with an 18 year old man, during which the defendant produced a knife and attacked his victim.

A second man was also assaulted, causing a cut to the side of his head.

The defendant was also sentenced to nine years’ imprisonment for sec 18 wounding with intent, and three years’ imprisonment for assaulting a person causing actual bodily harm, to run concurrently.

“The sentence given reflects the severity of the incident, which can only be described as a deliberate and frenzied attack,” said investigating officer Det. Con Ian O’Bryne of Force CID in Milton Keynes.

“This case serves as a reminder that if you carry or use a weapon, then you can expect prosecution and the possibility of a lengthy custodial sentence.”
