'Thank you for bringing me back from the dead," says Milton Keynes mum

Kelley Evans was 23 weeks pregnant when her heart stopped and she suffered a cardiac arrest at her Great Holm home last summer.

She ‘died’ for four minutes and it was the heroic efforts of a paramedic called Stephanie that brought her back to life.

Unbeknown to Kelley she had a rare heart defect. This was treated and she later gave birth to healthy baby girl.

She named her Ava Jean “Stephanie” Margaret Evans- in honour of the lady she owes her life to.

Now, a self confessed “ball of wobbly bits’, Kelley is training for the 100 km challenge.

“Frankly the thought of it terrifies me ,” she said. " I have NEVER done anything like this before. Frankly the thought of it terrifies me and that’s why it’s important that I do it. Those who know me well will realise that this is not my bag. I’ve never been one to jog or walk for fitness."
