The choir that keeps rocking

Fans of the feel good ITV1 series, ‘The Choir That Rocks’, shown in June this year, will get a chance to try Rock Choir out for themselves – as weekly rehearsals begin again in mid September in Milton Keynes.

No auditions and no requirement to read music make this unique choir very popular with amateur singers, allowing anyone who simply loves pop music to step in and take part.

Rock Choir offers pop, gospel and Motown singing to all ages, but is particularly popular with adults – offering time out each week at dynamic and fun rehearsals that lead to some very exciting community and national events.

Rock Choir rehearsals start again in the week beginning Monday, September 19 in Milton Keynes. Anyone wishing to try a free singing taster session should go to and book their place.

Rock Choir Leader, Lottie Greenhow is very excited about the start of term. She said: “I think for a lot of individuals interested in joining Rock Choir, it’s about the issue of walking through that door for the first time and getting through the first rehearsal. Some members book a friend or family member in with them, rather than walk in alone, but others just brave it and end up getting to know the other people sitting around them in their section. The social side of the rehearsals are very important and everyone experiences the songs and performances together, so it’s a good way to meet new people and bond. A lot of members comment on how life affirming it is. I can’t wait to start and meet everyone and get Rock Choir going in the community. There’s a lot of fun ahead!”
