They '˜don' it for Willen Hospice

Two MK Dons fans opted for a novel way to raise funds for Willen Hospice '“ they kayaked from Milton Keynes to Fulham!

Graham Durcan and Richard Nordsted, known as Radar and Bootsie, kayaked 67 miles down the Grand Union Canal, passing through 81 locks and six milesof the Thames.

When they arrived at Craven Cottage to see the Dons take on Fulham they were met by MK Dons Chairman Pete Winkelman and team supporters.

Their efforts proved well worth it – the duo raised £6500 for the charity.

“It’s been a tough challenge, but it felt great to be welcomed ashore and learn the total we have raised,” said Graham.

“Richard and I are so grateful for all the support.”

Another group of supporters walked the 54 miles to the away game, raising thousands more for the hospice.
