Three jailed for drug offences in Milton Keynes

Sarunas Sadauskas, 30 of Surrey Place, Bletchley, Kestutis Zaibus, 29, of Antrim House, Bletchley and Justinas Mikelinskas, 27, formerly of Old Groveway, Milton Keynes, appeared at Aylesbury Crown Court yesterday for sentencing.

The sentencing is in connection with an incident on June 23, 2015, when officers attended a property on Old Groveway, Milton Keynes.

A strong smell of cannabis was present and when officers entered the address, a number of cannabis plants were seen growing in various rooms in the property, including the loft area.

Water pipes and artificial lighting had also been installed to feed and grow the plants.

Officers then entered the garage at the property, where three men were found in the process of harvesting cannabis plants.

All three were subsequently arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis.

Mikelinkskas and Zaibus were charged on August 27 last year and Sadauskas was charged the following day.

All three men pleaded guilty to the offence in November last year at Aylesbury Crown Court.

At yesterday’s sentencing, Zaibus and Sadauskas were sentenced to 14 months imprisonment for being concerned in the production of class B Cannabis. Mikelinkskas was sentenced to nine months imprisonment for the production of class B cannabis.

“I hope these sentences once again demonstrate our commitment to identifying and removing illicit substances from our communities, whilst bringing those responsible of the production to justice.”
