Baby and toddler swimming teacher, Tamsin Brewis, is celebrating after becoming one of the first people in the UK to be presented with a prestigious new teaching diploma.
The ‘ASA Level 2 Extended Diploma in Coaching Learn to Swim’ qualification was created by the national governing body for swimming, the ASA, along with Water Babies, the world’s largest baby and toddler swim school.
The diploma consolidates years of learning into one prestigious qualification, with specific focus on child development, child protection, parent feedback and the innovative delivery of swimming lessons. It requires high quality, specialist training allowing Water Babies teachers to advance their skills and knowledge to a world class level.
Tamsin said: “I am so pleased to have received this diploma, which provides such great knowledge that fills in any gaps from previous learning. It goes a step further from my previous qualifications, stepping outside the box when it comes to baby swimming by incorporating child development as a whole.”
Tamsin launched the Midshires Water Babies business nine years ago after leaving the corporate world where she was a Marketing Manager.
Water Babies lessons are available in Aylesbury, Banbury, Bedford, Coventry, Buckingham, Hemel Hempstead, Rugby, Kenilworth, Leighton Buzzard, Milton Keynes, Warwick and Northampton. To find out more, visit www.waterbabies.co.uk or call 01295 709221.
