Denbigh School has been awarded top marks in a report by the Schools, Students and Teachers (SSAT) network for its exceptional performance in 2015.
Educational Outcomes data analysis showed the school in the top 10% of non-selective schools nationally for hight average grades achieved by students.
“Denbigh is a dynamic, innovative and successful school and I am delighted that this has been recognised by the SSAT,” said headteacher Andy Squires.
“The fact that we are in the top 10% of state secondary schools in the country demonstrates that Denbigh’s teaching staff are providing a positive and supportive learning environment, which helps to motivate our students to thrive and achieve their goals.”
The SSAT’s Educational Outcomes will be presented at a regional celebration next month.
“I hope that SSAT’s Educational Outcomes award will highlight the professionalism, commitment and hard work of the leaders, teachers and students at Denbigh School,” said Sue Williamson, Chief Executive of SSAT.
“Recognising and sharing successes like this is at the heart of SSAT’s mission, so I’m delighted to congratulate Denbigh School on their achievement,” she added.
