Diners at the Living Room are being encouraged to donate old shoes for charity.

The Living Room’s Heel Appeal will run throughout March and will be in support of children’s charity Harry’s Rainbow; a charity helping bereaved families cope with their loss. It was set up by the family of Harry Mould, who died at the age of five in 2009.

All types of shoes will be welcomed and put into use to help the charity.

General Manager at The Living Room, Kyle Stevens, said: “With the average woman owning 34 pairs of shoes, we hope this initiative will be especially popular with our female customers.

“It’s a great chance for all of us to de-clutter, it prevents shoes going to landfill, and it’s all for a good cause.

“Everyone has shoes lurking at the back of the wardrobe which haven’t been worn for some time. All types and conditions of shoes are welcomed and can be donated at The Living Room at any time.”

The Living Room is based in The Hub in Central Milton Keynes.
