Transatlantic TV trip for MK beauty queen

A 67-year-old from Bletchley has appeared on national television after travelling to the USA to take part in a beauty contest.

Bus Pass Beauty Queens, which aired on Channel 5 last Wednesday, featured four British senior citizens as they crossed the Atlantic to participate in the Miss Senior America pageant in New Jersey.

Lynne Bennett was one of the four British OAPs hitting the Atlantic City catwalk to compete in Miss Senior Transatlantic.

Lynne, a former administrator at Tesa UK, has been modelling since 1976, and has won a string of titles, including Miss Over 50 & Fabulous last year in Milton Keynes.

For the talent section of her entry, she performed a Beyonce dance choreographed by her husband, George.
