Train bosses are reminding passengers to check before they travel in the run up to Christmas and the New Year.
Reduced timetables will be in operation on a number of London Midland routes on Christmas Eve, with the frequency of train services winding down from 1pm and many last train services departing earlier than usual.
There will also be service changes on intercity routes run by Virgin Trains.
Neither company will run trains on Christmas Day or Boxing Day.
Major engineering works taking place on Saturday, December 27, and Sunday, December 28 will also affect services, with part of the route replaced by bus replacement services.
Passengers can plan journeys in advance at www.londonmidland.com/engineering www.virgintrains.co.uk/christmas-travel/ or www.qjump.co.uk
