'Delays likely' as busy Milton Keynes road closes
A busy road in Milton Keynes is closed today (Thursday, September 10) while bridge inspections are carried out.
The A509 Portway next to Downs Barn, between Belvedere Roundabout and North Overgate Roundabout, is closed today from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
Milton Keynes Borough Council, which is responsible for the works, said delays are likely for motorists.
A diversion route is in place via V8 Marlborough Street, H4 Dansteed Way and V9 Overstreet.
Another diversion route is via Skeldon Gate, Silbury Boulevard and Overgate.
