Early-morning crash causing delays on M1 towards Milton Keynes

Queues at junction 15 southbound lasting throughout rush-hour this morning

A crash has been causing delays on a stretch of the M1 towards Milton Keynes this morning (Tuesday June 2).

Highways England reported the incident blocking one lane southbound near to junction 15 at around 7am.

Traffic cameras showed tailbacks to Junction 15A and officers reported it could take until 9am to clear the carriageway and reopen all lanes.

Drivers using the A45 to join the M1 at junction 15 were also being warned to expect delays.
