Heavy rainfall has impacted the River Great Ouse from Newport Pagnell to Roxton and flooding remains possible in the area today (February 4).

With only light showers scheduled in Milton Keynes this evening the government have classified this situation as an alert rather than a warning. This means you should be prepared for flooding near the river rather than having to take immediate action to protect yourself against oncoming floods.

A spokesperson for the government released the following update on the flooding at 8:28am this morning: "River levels are falling at the Bedford river gauge. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland remains possible. We expect flooding to affect the River Great Ouse from Newport Pagnell to Roxton.
