A Milton Keynes council spokesperson said on Twitter that road temperatures have dropped to -2.6 Degrees Celsius and therefore the priority route will be gritted from 2pm onwards.

The spokesman said the gritters will cover grid and main access roads as part of the priority route, which takes the nine trucks around three hours to complete.
