14-mile tailbacks following reports of earlier smash southbound

Drivers are facing severe delays on the M1 between Northampton and Milton Keynes on Monday morning.

Traffic is trailing back around 14 miles on the southbound carriageway following reports of an earlier crash.

Traffic sensors are showing cars crawling from near to Newport Pagnell Services all the way back to Junction 15A.

AA Travel reported: "Severe delays of 17 minutes and delays increasing on M1 in Northamptonshire. Average speed ten mph."
