THERE will now be three of the city’s Olympic and Paralympic stars at this Saturday’s stadium:mk celebrations after Milton Keynes Council finally managed to make contact with them.
Handball captain Bobby White and Paralympic fooballer Alistair Patrick-Heselton have now both been confirmed as attending, joining Paralympic fencer Gabi Down.
White and Patrick-Heselton told the Citizen they had received no contact from the council as recent as earlier this week. Their appearance at stadium:mk means that three of Milton Keynes’ eight Olympians and Paralympians will now be present.
With long jump gold medallist Greg Rutherford unavailable to attend, the council admitted struggling to make contact with some of them, despite being sent a list of names by the Citizen.
