Two more illegal immigrants found at Newport Pagnell M1 service station

The lorry driver called police when he discovered the stowaways.

But the men fled, only to be spotted minutes later by another motorists on the carriageway of the M1.

The pair, whose country of origin is not yet known, have now been arrested for illegal entry into the UK.

The matter is now being dealt with by immigration authorities.

The news follows the Citizen’s revelation last week that 36 asylum-seeking children have been picked up at Newport Pagnell services over the past year.

All the children were found without their parents or another adult to look after them.

They are now being cared for by local foster families.
