UPDATE: Man killed in collision in Milton Keynes

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information after a fatal collision in Milton Keynes, at lunchtime today.

At around 12.30pm, a black Vauxhall Astra was travelling on the H3 Monks Way (A422) at the Stacey Bushes roundabout when it left the carriageway and struck a metal fence. The driver of the car, a 36-year-old man from Northamptonshire, sadly died at the scene.

His next of kin has been informed and is being supported by specially trained officers from the Roads Policing Unit.

“I would like to appeal to anybody who saw the collision take place to come forward,” said Investigating officer, PC Matthew Braddish.

“I am also interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen the black Vauxhall Astra immediately before the collision occurred.

“I would like to thank the public who attended the injured man and called the emergency services. I am also grateful for the patience and understanding of the public as the road was closed for four hours, to allow for a detailed forensic collision investigation to take place.”

If you have any information about the incident please call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101 quoting URN 652 19/8.

Alternatively you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
