Visitors will be able to have their faces painted, and buy a range of foods and crafts from local producers – including plants and produce grown on the farm itself.

The opportunity to meet the farm’s chickens (as well as the month-old chicks) will keep festival-goers busy, and homemade refreshments will be on sale to stave off hunger.

“we look forward to welcoming faces old and new to the farm at this exciting new event,” said Urb Farm manager Florie Bryant.

“You really have to visit the Urb Farm to appreciate what a special place it is – particularly as it’s so well hidden. Many visitors to Wolverton don’t even know it’s here!

“Our trainees and volunteers have been working really hard to get the farm ready for this event and the young people in particular are keen to show off the many projects we have been working on so far this year.

“As a charity, community is at the centre of the work we carry out, so we would love to see as many people as possible enjoying the farm in the sunshine,” she added.

Farm Fest will run from between 1pm and 4pm and visitors should park up on Marron Lane (MK12 5DE) and walk along the redway to the Urb Farm which can be found between 196-198, Windsor Street, Wolverton.
