To raise awareness the Hospice is using national Volunteer Week from June 6-12, to highlight the huge contribution volunteers make to the charity and to encourage others to consider taking on a volunteering role n a Willen Hospice shop.

The shops in Newport Pagnell, Stony Stratford, Olney, Leighton Buzzard, Bletchley, Towcester, Kiln Farm and Buckingham, all help to raise vital funds to support the

Kerry Harris, manager of the Willen Hospice shops in Newport Pagnell and Olney, said: “We’ve got an amazing team of volunteers here at Willen Hospice and we’re so incredibly grateful for their

support. However, all our shops are in desperate need of more volunteers to help keep those shops open and raising money to support our care. Volunteering is not only a great way to do

something to support the incredible work at Willen Hospice, it can also help improve work skills, help people get experience and be an opportunity to meet new friends.“
