Urgent - have you seen Annabelle's bunnies in Milton Keynes?

A three-year-old girl is 'in meltdown' after losing two precious knitted bunnies somewhere in thecentre:mk.

The hand-made toys have accompanied little Annabelle Keegan everywhere since she was born.

She refuses to sleep and even eat without them, said her mum Emily.

“She never puts them down. They are with her constantly. We were so scared of her losing them that we even stitched them together so she couldn’t drop one of them,” she said.

But the action backfired when the family went to see the Christmas display at thecentre@mk on Sunday - and Annabelle dropped both the 25cm long bunnies.

“She fell asleep in her buggy and they must have slipped out of her hand without us realising,” said Emily.

She and husband Ben spent two hours retracing their steps and conducting a bunny hunt around the shopping centre and the route to Xscape. But the toys were nowhere to be seen.

They have also called the centre’s management and security to no avail.

“We’re at our wit’s end and Annabelle is inconsolable. She is just in meltdown with the bunnies,” said Emily.

The toys were knitted for Annabelle when she was born by an elderly friend of the family. Sadly the friend has since passed away, so they cannot be replaced.

Emily, who runs Emily Blackman Make Up, is offering a free make-up session as a reward to anybody who hands in the toys.
