'˜Urgent review is needed over school parking'

Around 120 parents a day drive into narrow residential roads around Holne Chase school and park in front of people’s houses.

West Bletchley councillor Elaine Wales said the problem has become even worse since the school started a breakfast club in January.

She and parish councillor Ian Revell are calling for Milton Keynes council to hold an urgent review into the problem.

Ian is former chair of governors at Holne Chase and his children went to the school.

He and Elaine say one option is to create a proper drop-off area in front of the school.

Elaine said: “I have been contacted by residents about the worsening parking problems in Cottingham Grove. There is a need to ensure appropriate parking that does not upset nearby residents but allows children to get to the school safely.”
